Spartanburg County Clerk of Court

The Honorable Amy W. Cox serves as the Spartanburg County Clerk of Court. She was appointed by Governor Henry McMaster on January 22, 2019. Before this role, she earned a BS in Business Administration from USC Upstate, a Juris Doctorate from USC School of Law, and served as an Assistant Solicitor for Richland County and as an Associate Probate Judge for Spartanburg County. The Clerk of Court handles Circuit Court records for Common Pleas and General Sessions, Family Court records, criminal warrants and tickets, bonds and indictments, and jury management.

Search Spartanburg County Court Records Online

Search results include civil cases such as lawsuits and contract disputes, criminal cases with charge and sentencing details, family court matters including divorces and custody, and limited probate case information. Results show the case number, filing date, involved parties, attorneys, court actions, and links to some documents. Juvenile cases are restricted. Sealed cases require a court order. Sensitive personal information is redacted from public results. Certified copies of any document require a visit or mail request to the Clerk of Court. Spartanburg County Circuit Court Records

The 7th Judicial Circuit covers Spartanburg County and Cherokee County. Circuit Court in Spartanburg County handles civil cases through the Court of Common Pleas and criminal felony matters through General Sessions. The Family Court in Spartanburg County handles divorces, child custody and support cases, adoptions, orders of protection, and juvenile matters.
