Lexington Municipal Court Records

Lexington County Clerk of Court

The Clerk is the official custodian of civil, criminal, and family court records for Lexington County. The office handles Common Pleas civil cases, General Sessions criminal cases, and Family Court matters. Both Circuit Court and Family Court are at 205 East Main Street. For a statewide criminal background check, use the SLED CATCH portal. The fee is $25 plus a $1 online convenience charge. CATCH is a name-based search covering South Carolina conviction records and pending charges. It does not return records from other states. Provide a full name and date of birth for the search. The South Carolina Sex Offender Registry (SORT) is also free and publicly accessible through SLED without a fee.

Family and Probate Court Records in Lexington

Lexington County Family Court handles divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, domestic violence, and juvenile matters for all county residents including Lexington town.
